Guess what everyone, our class did another AWESOME and AMAZING activity in history class.
We studied how the Natives (Auchtoctones) and the Wood Runners (Courers de bois) interacted during the Fur Trade.
So, our class came to school one happy Wednesday and the class was set up like a Trading Post.
Then, Mlle. Tosh (our teacher) split the class into two groups. Half of the class were titled as the natives (Auchtoctones) and the other half were titled as the Wood Runners (Courers de bois).
I ,Elizabeth was a Native and Maddy was a Wood Runner. The best part (in my opinion) was that I got to speak English while, Maddy had to speak French. The reason was because in the past they could not communicate due, to lack of understanding the other languages.
There was also a bunch of stuff to trade for example, guns, swords, sugar, shoes, gun powder, bowls and many more. I personally got a lot of stuff and still had some fur left over. Maddy and I both agree it was a ton of fun.
Thanks Mlle. Tosh!
