Task: MATH MARSHMALLOW 2 Day in class PROJECT
Everyone in the class got a bunch of marshmallows and toothpicks to create their very own 3D shape in math class. We were required to name and describe our shapes as best as we could. We also had to calculate the perimeter and surface area.
As you can see by the pictures below some students decided to create simple shapes while other students created shapes that were far more complex. The challenge lied within determining the surface area of the composite shapes.
It was very fun to do!
We even got to eat some!
